SIL Provider are open to all NDIS participants. However, in order to be qualified to use this support service, participants need to fulfill the following requirements:

Requirement for Support in Daily Living: The individual must be suffering from a serious illness or disability that limits their ability to perform activities of daily living. Assistance with personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, and community involvement are a few examples.

During the planning phase, your eligibility for supported independent living is assessed. Together, you and the NDIS planner will evaluate your needs, objectives, and functional capacity. They take into account things like your living situation, support systems, degree of disability-related needs, and any unofficial help that may already be in place. They'll decide if SIL is a good fit for you based on this evaluation and the medical documentation you submit.
